Therefore, in order to clarify the achievements and career construction of international mature students, a piece of qualitative research on mature male Japanese students was carried out. The findings are as follows. There are five common competencies which those students improve on study abroad as well as upon jobs. These are of language, knowledge, communication, productivity and tolerance to diversity. Study abroad was assumed as part of professional career.
