As one of recruiting targets can be adult students, in order to clarify the nature of studying abroad for adults’ three pieces of research on mature Japanese students have been carried out. This paper is the report of the third one. The participants are adult Japanese who studied abroad 10-15 years ago. While their experience of study abroad is not recalled every day, their competencies and world view and belief, which derive from their experience, are still utilized in their work and life planning. Their focus moved from readaptation to later part of carrier and lifework.
