| 内容記述 | 言葉は，時代とともに変化する。西洋語を翻訳した学術用語もその概念も，新研究の成果や時代に応じて変容する。概念の変容に伴い学術用語が刷新されるともいえる。すなわち日本化である。筆者が専門とする臨床ソーシャルワークにおいても例外ではない。 本稿では，日本文化の骨格を構成する仏教の，特に「愛別離苦」の原意と日本化の変遷を手掛かりに，出会いと別れを考察する。そのうえで「臨床」の語源の根底にあるキリスト教文化を再確認し，諸概念のもつ文化の相似と相違を検討し，学術用語の語源と翻訳語の日本化で生じる概念のズレに注目して，臨床ソーシャルワークの概念を再検討する。 |

| 内容記述 | Words change with the times. Both the academic terminology translated from Western languages and the concepts transform with results of new research and new eras. Academic terminology is continuously being renewed as the concept are transforming. In other words, Japanification. Clinical social work, in which I specialize, is no exception. This study examines encounters and partings from multiple perspectives, taking as its starting point the original meaning of the Buddhist concept of “love,separation,and suffering,” which constitutes the backbone of Japanese culture. I investigate the evolution of this concept’s Japanification. The study then reexamines the concept of clinical social work by reconfirming the Christian culture underlying the etymology of the word “clinical,” focusing on the cultural similarities and differences underlying various concepts and noting the conceptual gaps that arise in the etymology of academic terms and the Japanification of translated terminology. |
