| 内容記述 | Some second language learners do better than others because they are better motivated. There are two kinds of motivation in second language learning, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. The intrinsic motivation is which oriented learner is interested in learning the second language in order to meet and communicate with people of the target language community. The extrinsic motivation is which oriented learner are ones who want to learn the language for pragmatic reasons such as to get a certain kind of job or to pass an examination. In this paper, I attempted to investigate how difference learner's occupation may cause their motivation. Participants were 37 Japanese undergraduate university students majoring in not English and 31 trainees. This study revealed that the trainee's both intrinsic and extrinsic motivations are higher than university student's. |
