| 内容記述 | In 1705 May 10, Iizuka Someko (飯塚染子) died of a disease. She is Yanagisawa Yoshisato's (柳沢吉里・1687~1745) real mother, 39 years old then. Someko is also the first concubine of the Yanagisawa Yoshiyasu (柳沢吉保・1658~1714), who became a powerful chamberlain (sobayounin) at the 5th Shogun Tokugawa Tsunayoshi (Remain ; 1680~1709 / 1646~1709). In the first place, Yoshiyasu got married to Soshi Sadako (曽雌定子) in 1676. But about 10 years have passed since they married, they have not gotten a baby. At that time, Yoshiyasu was rising rapidly in the world, he had to get an heir, for in the Edo period, no heir clans cut down their homes and family names, so no heir situation was so to speak very risky situation. As a result of both Yanagisawa's and Soshi's family's council, Someko was taken a concubine. She was a lady's maid of Yoshiyasu's real mother. Someko got five babies through her lifetime. The first baby was Yoshisato, but the rest babies were died. Someko had an ability to make tanka poems. After her death, Yoshiyasu edited “Someko's anthology”, there are 38 tanka written in reply to Yoshiyasu's tanka in it. Yoshisato's ability to make tankas comes not only from his father ability but also his mother Somekos. As mentioned above, Soshi Sadako was Yoshiyasu's legal wife, but because she was apt to get illness, she did not have a baby. In 1713 Sept.5, Sadako died in her illness. She was 57 years old. Yoshisato was crushed with grief. For Sadako was very good to her step child Yoshisato. Yoshisato offered a memorial tribute written by himself on the altar in memory of his deceased mother. In that memorial tribute, th'ere are many sorrows and thanks. |
