| 内容記述 | This paper will discuss teeth as a code. What ﾒTeethﾓ means to people differs greatly from culture to culture. In the United States, ﾒTeethﾓ has a particular meaning. One can instantly judge some another by looking at their teeth. It is a code that explicitly expresses something, just as an expensive car, fur coat or an extraordinary physique. ﾒTeethﾓ in the United States can also signify oneﾕs social status or social class, whether one is wealthy or not, or the level of oneﾕs education or intellect. Thus in the United States if one expects to be recognized by others as a person of wealth, or significance it is necessary to have a good set of white teeth. |
