The purpose of this study is to develop the Mindfulness Scale in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which draws attention as treatment of borderline personality disorder, based on previous studies. The author discovered that the scale has four factors: “emotional control”, “distress tolerance”, “effective interpersonal communication” and “core mindfulness”. This factor structure is more consistent with the DBT theory than those in previous studies. However, the validity and reliability of the scale need to be studied furthermore. |
